The comparison gets made alot but it's basically GoT before GoT was around. Ciaran Hinds playing Caeser is still one of my favorite performances in any movie or TV show, I'd put it right alongside Sean Bean as Ned Stark and Heath Ledger as the Joker. If you haven't seen it I would defintely recommend it, my youtube recommendations still suggests a few scenes of it from time to time and I can never resist clicking on them no matter how many times I've seen it.
