Arguably the best police drama of all time.

Performance from Michael Chiklis is outstanding.

The show is a fantastic twist on the normal cop procedurals.

It grabs you by the nose from the very first episode and does not let up.

Vic Mackeys confession was explosive with the Captain watching through the glass, unable to do anything due to immunity.

I think this not voting if you haven't seen both is silly. (No offence to you personally Trigger). We can't all have seen everything. But if you're a fan of one of them you have to vote for it for that exact reason. Especially if you love it!

Edited to add: Also if the other show didn't tempt you to watch it, wasn't advertised enough for you to have heard of it, got bad reviews etc. Then that's reason enough not to vote for it against a show that did drag you in and did get good reviews and did make you love it, right??

The Shield - it reinvigorated cop shows and had that perfect balance between crime solving and soap (ie the life outside work was important).
