Now this one could be a fire cracker... potentially.

Can you please take my votes for Ab Fab and only fools and horses now?

I’m in the hairdressers for at least an hour and reception is really bad :(

I know it will lose, but Rome was the best TV show ever. Two huge quality series of it. At least it won't be a whitewash.

    Rome

Still say it's the best thing HBO have done. If it had the budget and tech GoT had, it might even have had battle scenes!

Plus one of the leads was in Father Ted.

Have to say 'Rome', because I love Roman history. Sorry, it would take to long to expand on this.

Rome. because I don't get the wire love

Rome was less dense to get through.

    Rome.

The Wire. The final episode in every season when it brings everything together in a montage. I've always got my jaw on the floor at that point. Every character is memorable.

I would have to plump for Rome because it never faltered even slightly whereas The Wire had a hit and miss 2nd and 5th season. "It is no threat cicero I assure you, snows always melt"

    The Wire!!

For Bunk, Bubbles and Stringer Bell.

Far far superior to Rome which only had two seasons

Thank you. Only fools would have to take it for being from Peckham.

Only fools - from my hometown. One of the most cleverly written comedies ever.

Ab Fab - Saunders and French (as they were for this show) are two of the most talented female comedy writers ever. Along with Caroline Ahearne RIP.

Havent seen either but Rome is shorter and time is money.

    The Wire a classic show

To expand, I have a great interest in ancient Rome so appeals to me more

The Wire - for Bunks drunken meltdowns and clothes burning.

  • Registered Users Posts: 97 ✭✭ReverseGiraffe

Rome is great but the second season is a bit weak in comparison to the first, Wire is up there with some of the best shows ever made, voting the Wire

The wire. Great characters and story

The only negative I think about the wire is how dense it is. You almost have to study it to get the most of it.

The Wire - great character development, great story, great series

    The wire, simply the best.

After a storming start, Rome gets pegged back and The Wire advances with a winning scoreline of 9-7

Another big gun comes out against some stiff opposition

Season 2 of the Wire is epic, great payoff; "I got tired of being the punchline to every joke"

    The Sopranos - Perfect television

The Sopranos because clearly Better Call Saul never had the makings of a varsity athlete.

The Sopranos - for the dream sequences and Junior's senility, what a show.

The Sopranos. So different to anything I had watched before. Appealed to a huge range of people, even my Dad watched it!
