Probably due to my age but it was the first time I remember TV be like mini films, in quality and scope. It seemed to change the template for TV shows and a lot of today's shows owe it a thanks

ER. It could easily have turned into a soap, but instead it was much higher quality TV than most of what was on at the time.

Jericho one of the best post apocalyptic tv shows ever and i think there is a funny story of how it got renewed if i remember correctly which i will tell you if it makes it through and is actually about it

ER. I wasn't a dedicated fan but it was great, exciting tv and I found I could dip in and out and even if I was falling behind on the main characters , I could still always enjoy that weeks storyline.
