    On the off chance you/the wife/the mother has a Kenwood K Mix there is a mincer attachment for it.

    Good thinking the mother has one idle I think, would it do large volumes I wonder?

    What ever you buy, try and go for a model that has metal parts at any friction areas or were there would be torque (ing?).
    This is were most of the cheaper machines fail, even dearer models with cast alloy worms can exhibit wareing very quickly.
    Go for good wattage motor over accessories, if its a comercial model plates can be purchased at a later date.
    I use the same plate and if I want it smoother I'll pass the meat again.
    Unless your looking at a 'Mafia' sized one the trick to using a mincer wether it be a hand operated or motor is in the preparation of the meat to be minced. Put the spade work into trimming and cutting and you'll half your mincing time.
