    Prime Time Storm Special tonight!

It doesn't justify a Prime Time mention, the thing has been reduced to nothing.

The media in this country are quite embarrassing.

I understand that but it seems that it's coming in weaker than expected, with Cork even being removed from orange status.

They know right well that most of the country have been spooked into thinking we're about to see the storm to end all storms and will tune in. Cash money on their ads.

Where is that coming from? None of the Met Eireann forecasts have anything more than possible heavy rain and some wind.

Awful miserable day out. Was anything forecast?
    Nothing on the news anyway.

Gone earily quiet here now, suns out and temperatures up on previous days. Blackbirds back in formation, looks like it won't be too bad.

Sun peaking out, barely a breath of wind, temp is 17 degrees. Beats most of August

    South Dublin

    South Dublin

It’s fairly chilly in South central Dublin. 13 degrees but feels colder in the breeze.

One saying hardly a breath, other saying very windy.

In certain counties, not Dublin.. Need to read all the warnings carefully as they are clear.

Very disappointing. Im sat at work and the roof is showing no sign of coming off. This is all Met Eireanns fault.

    All weather is local!

Baldonnel is reporting wind of 8kts atm (no gusts), whereas DunLaoghaire Harbour is reporting 40kt gusts.

South Dublin wraps around the Dublin Mountains, depends on what part of the area you are in, the winds come from different directions in different strengths.

    When big wind?

They say yellow until 6pm today but it's nearly 2pm and it's calm and sunny in the midlands.

With all due respect I don’t understand why people on the East coast are even commenting on here with weather updates. Saw a few posts on here from people describing the scene as they went to work. I’m guessing they do that every morning since essentially in Dublin the weather is not due to be anything out of the ordinary.

Sorry but the thread is just getting clogged up with weather updates from areas that aren’t due to be hit badly so what’s the point? It’s the west coast that will worse hit so it’s there that the updates of the conditions are actually relevant.
