Parking at Whitehall chapel

I'm going to Dublin tomorrow from about 2pm to 10pm. Often see lots of cars parked there (chapel at whitehall crossroads) but is there a barrier there or do they monitor it?

If you continue on down this road turn left at the lights and left again you can get into the car park there.

That was actually set up as a park and ride years ago. It's free and I've used it a lot without any issues.
