After enforcing a move to Munster, on him, they had to bring Carbery but I think that his injury was more serious than the public were led to believe

    enforcing?
christ he wasn't blindfolded and sent to Limerick.

He signed an extension to his contract.

if hes anyway risky you cant risk him in this game.
we may need him later in tournament, especially if Johnny gets any kind of knock.

Daire O'Brien needs to shutup. Let them answer the question before he jumps in ffs

Yes, it was an enforced move. He was given an option of remaining at Leinster and no WC or move (Ulster/Munster) and go to Japan.

He extended his contract and is really enjoying his time here but he did not want a move anywhere in the first instance,

Dont understand why Carbery isnt starting, he lacks match fitness, if you are going to give him a run in any game to attain fitness its today's game.

There is absolutely no way it was phrased like that. He was given an option of moving to play consistently at 10 somewhere and he took it. He was given an opportunity not forced into anything.

why do people think theres some conspiracy over carberys injury and questioning his inclusion???

have they forgotten he actually played 20 minutes against Japan.....

    He's pulled out injured

not again, the frequency of his injuries is a real concern

Daire: "A quick word on the conditions inside the stadium, Jamie?"
    Heaslip: "It's hot, move on".

    :pac:

RTE are just determined to be negative.

Eir might not be the full package but at least their panels try to err on the side of Analytical and positive rather than stoney faced laments

RTE just moan moan and moan. In every sport. It's tiresome

He played 20 minutes and he said himself he didn't feel fit. His injury like Henshaw is a massive blow to our chances.

Peter Stringer was quite critical last week. If anything Heaslip is chief cheer leader, Eddie can't really say anything, since he made the same mistakes and Ferris keeps changing his position.

There's not much to be positive about at the moment.

Kearney totally should have offloaded that...2 men outside unmarked and he risked taking the tackle...greedy fecker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,183 ✭✭✭UnknownSpecies

Not greedy, he just had the ball in the wrong hand for that pass. Was too late by the time he realised he needed to fend off the last man. I agree he should have passed earlier though.

Heavy tackles going in. Need to get this job done quickly

Is the RTÉ commentary out of synch with the on screen action again?

If Kearney can add the defensive part to the attacking part of his game, he’ll be some player :D

The greedy bit was not preparing to offload it though...he reckoned he had the beating of the Russian forward and was wrong, guaranteed try if he offloaded it.

Probably irrelevant in this game but could be vital in a bigger game.

Conway was coming on to it, surely his to take?

at work trying to watch on player and it keeps freezing, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Nope, running backwards. Kearney saw it coming all the way. Whether Conway called for it is another thing. Otherwise no idea why Kearney left it. They’re saying on ITV the lights can be pretty dazzling in the stadium and whether he might have lost it in the air but he never even got off the ground. If it was Larmour he’d be slaughtered for it though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,512 ✭✭✭Wheety

RTE Player not able to handle this? Any where else streaming it live? I guess it's not being streamed by World Rugby on YouTube?

would have to see it again but to me it looked like they both had to run infield and no one was running onto it?

Conway running backwards onto it and would have taken it running back towards his tryline, Kearney was positioned deeper and coming on to it in comparison.
