Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why would you choose United over Liverpool now?

If you’re any bit ambitious you pick them all day. That’s reality. We ain’t the Big Boy Club at the minute.

Same reason Ferguson did in 86 doesn't matter what they did are doing or will do Man United is where it's at now and forever.

You would do well in the United boardroom

The footballing world has moved on Sir and like it or not, we are not currently an attractive proposition in comparison to a number of our peers. Things can change of course in a short space of time but lfc have a better team, manager and owners than we do at the moment. It's a no brainer for many players.

True but if we take an every cloud has a silver lining approach United should probably in a unique position to offer top quality players between 20-24 starting spots that other competing clubs like city and Liverpool may not. If you are that age you can afford 2-3 years at a club like United and you still have your best years ahead of you. Pretty much what Pogba did but now that Ed has ironed out those pesky transfer issues out it’s all gravy baby....

Would prefer Jones in for Maguire and probably Gomes for Chong on the bench.

I've seen Dalot in training pics, is he just not being picked or is he still not fit?

    Why? He's a liability.

According to Mel Reddy in the independent

#MUFC have been scouting Takumi Minamino as an alternative to James Maddison. But they didn't know about his release clause and #LFC had already been in negotiations with Red Bull Salzburg for the Japan international since November...

No one will know who was in for him but looks like Liverpool have snapped him up quick

Utd not knowing his release clause doesnt make much sense to me

Surely all these things are checked out if a club is interested in a player

If United didn't know about the release clause its ****ing amateur hour.Thats beyond pathetic.

It's so bad it cant be true.

    Salzburg: "release clause of 7.25m"

    Utd: "here's 50m "

Salzburg: "but you do realise the release clause is 7.25m

    Utd: "Ok here's 60m

    Why? He's a liability.

Because what's the point in having him there if not for a Europa League game United are through in already?

He's good enough to play against AZ Alkmaar and will mean he's more match fit if needed in the coming weeks.

I'll wait for confirmation of that from someone other than a liverpool superfan like melissa reddy ;)

For me because he's a liability and defensively we won't want to concede tonight, we need to not lose.

Honestly I don't think so. United drew 0-0 with AZ Alkmaar, a brutal game. They'll put it up to United and don't need Jones making inevitable mistakes so it's like playing with 10 men.

Fairly dull so far. Really irritates me seeing teams dominate possession at OT. Whatever about teams like City, but not everyone.

She is a waffler. A good looking one mind you. She was called out very recently on bbc 5 live when she was talking about Pellegrini and how the players felt about him as he appears quite a dour man. She was asked straight up how she possibly knew what he was like outside of a press conference. She doesn’t......

Does she really have inside knowledge anymore because most of what she says is second hand information.

Mata so poor tonight. Tried to play a one two with Matic on the edge of the box there as though Matic was Rashford.

    Tuanzebe also having a nightmare.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,667 ✭✭✭Whatsisname

    Tuanzebe also having a nightmare.

I know he has no midfield in front of him but why I constantly see people put him in their XI over Lindelof I’ve no idea.

We’ve been utter **** tonight but not sure what else to expect when you have a midfield of Pereira, Mata, Garner and Matić.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Started very poor but improved after about 25 minutes. Mata should have done better with his chance from Youngs cross.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Hopefully Ole doesn't wait long to bring on some subs. This lineup doesnt seem to be working

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,906 ✭✭✭✭PhlegmyMoses

Garner is getting rinsed in there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

    Young goal.

Great build up play, Pereira done good, great ball by Mata. Decent finish too.

Young just ruined our impressive oldest goal scorer this season stat.

Thought he's done very well tonight apart from that blip in our box.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,558 ✭✭✭✭yabadabado

Lovely goal but ul to that point it was abysmal stuff. So much crap out there, lads that shouldn't be near the first team squad but if an injury or two happens they would be straight into the side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,303 ✭✭✭✭Father Hernandez

    Greenwood you absolute dancer

    What a talent

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,383 ✭✭✭S.M.B.

Harsh on AZ, makes you appreciate VAR a little.

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,054 ✭✭✭wanderer100

Lovely finish Greenwood. Definitely one for the future

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,500 ✭✭✭Your Airbag

Just as well there's no VAR in this competition until the final but we'll take it.

    Well done Mason

Greenwood with another solid finish. He certainly has the eye for a goal. Williams also looking very good.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,500 ✭✭✭Your Airbag

Greenwood on a hat trick, great finish.
