Relax lads. This is all part of the plan. You can’t expect a manager who has been in the job a year to solve things in that sort of time. You need at least 5 transfer windows to really start to own a team. So I’m told.

That Lingard is getting repeated chances at 10, ahead of Mata is a complete nonsense.

Mata has not lit it up I know, but he's just a better player in nearly every way, and makes more sense to have in that role.

He gets a chance there, plays alright, gets dropped. Lingard plays, plays badly, gets played again.

He's an average squad player at best, always has been, always will be

The only reason Lingard starts is because he has the legs to close down defenders, he brings **** all else to the team.

Mata (who I love) has no where near the engine that Lingard but he's a miles better player than Lingard.

In the ratio of money spent to actual footballing talent, Maguire might be the worst post-Fergie signing. He is an embarrassment. What's worse is he thinks he is Pique striding out of defence.

The quality isn't there with either of them tbh. Pereira and Lingard are both extremely average players. I'm annoyed when either start! The whole club is a complete non entity at the moment.

Martial, Rashford and James have enough of an engine. Mata should be able to sit in there and dictate the play a bit.

If that's what you want him to do, then it's a waste, but when you have players around him who can, use him, and use him correctly.

Playing Lingard and wanting him to do that, may as well get Big Sam in,
