    https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/ole-gunnar-solskjaer-pleased-by-the-fitness-of-man-utd-squad

    This article may frustrate!

Look how the club are implying we outran Liverpool last weekend in title of the article (Even though we done absolutely nothing bar sitting back the whole of the second half)

Ole continuing with his fitness delusions too

They outran liverpool because they were chasing the ball all day
The stats for the game say liverpool dominated the game and united spent the game defending, that article is foolish do they think fans are idiots ?

    Liverpool Manchester United
    64.5 Possession % 35.5
    11 Shots on target 2
    36 Shots 6
    794 Touches 544
    562 Passes 321
    12 Tackles 27
    9 Clearances 41
    13 Corners 2
    2 Offsides 3
    0 Yellow cards 2
    6 Fouls conceded 14

Ole is just the junior B manager who thinks running hard laps is the same thing as being fit. Probably thinks drinking water during training is a sign of being soft.

I dont think possession was far off that... but I don't think they are the stats from the game at the weekend. Firstly, why would Liverpool be displayed first... and 36 shots? I don't think so.

What happened is that the club never learns. Year after year of sticking with and relying upon unreliable players.

What specifically is wrong with him? God knows. The only thing that I know is that it won't be the last time.
I'd nearly go as far as saying I prefer Young over Shaw. Shaw is so painfully average and unreliable, we really need to be getting a new LB next summer.
Shaw was a better player at 18 than he is now.

Said it in the Summer, should have gone out and bought Kieran Tierney.

    £25million

Much more reliable and has a higher ceiling than Shaw.

Stats on Fotmob say 68% possession to Liverpool, but only 10 shots with 4 on target compared with 7 with 2 on target for Utd. The other stats are way off too. I'd say those stats are from Joses last game at Anfield.

They need to cling on to anything they can to show “progress”

The fittest 14th placed team there ever was

Was just about to say this. Those stats are ridiculously inaccurate.

Liverpool made over double the amount of tackles than United. The shot stats are way off too, there weren't that many anyway so 36 is nuts.
Must have been a Liverpool fan doing the stats.:)

Yeah, about Tierney being reliable... he's already been injured for 2 months of the season and was injured more often than not at Celtic.

He'd fit the profile for United so.

Very early days for Brandon Williams but he's impressed from what I've seen of him so far. And the hype train has well and truly started after he showed off those silky skills for the England u-20's last week.

Was that the fox in the box poaching extraordinaire RVN with the thru ball for an assist? Didn't know he completed passes that weren't into the back of the net!

    Some brief team news:
De Gea aggravated the ankle injury so is left out.
Romero starts I'd suspect on this basis
Pogba, Tuanzebe and Shaw all out
    Lingard travels with the squad

    Thought DDG was a hamstring?
Would have expected Romero to start anyway.

    Scrap the cap!

I presume he is looking for a new challenge/retirement fund.

Sorry you could be correct on De Gea

Bayern don't let players go unless they aren't up to their standard anymore.
On a free without extortionate wages maybe he's a gamble worth taking. He'd provide experience and a winning mentality which is lacking in the squad.

Anyone else been thinking about how much they miss Rooney these days? What a player.

Would have scored another 50+ goals if it wasn’t for Fergie terrible eye for a midfielder.

Müller is 30, so if we want him needs to be now... always admired him, a serious talent and a clever intelligent player with bags of leadership ability.... I say go get him.

We could sign Declan Rice too.

    Imagine the puns. Muller Rice.

    Jones.........

He won't be there long sure, probably see Fred or perreira early enough into the game.

532 again anyway looking at that unless jokes is gonna be at DM

As if Lindelof has been much better this season than the level Jones has shown in the past...

Have to play him sometime though in case you ever do need him to play, and by some miracle he is also fit!

They can call it what they want :) it's 5 defenders.

And arguably only one actual striker.....could call it a 541 too but that sounds just a touch too negative for our cavalier crew.

United app has him on the right side of a back 3 Maguire in the middle and Rojo on the left

I dont see anything wrong with 5 at the back if that's the best system for this group of players.
Good to see him trying something different because he sure cant seem to get them playing with any variation of 4-3-3.
