Pereira is such a poor player.

Am I the only one who thought that was a penalty?

It's because they don't utilise the space between the lines. How many times has Pereira gotten the ball 40 yards out facing goal? Instead it's just pinged to Martial's feet more often than not from deep midfield.

Its a bit of everything the passing is way too slow in the final third, poor movement and people picking the easy pass most of the time as when they pick the hard one they mess it up mostly.

I'm not sure if its poorly coached or poor quality probably a combination of both

Looked a hefty hip check alright, outfield it would likely have been a free.

These days I think so yes, the commentators also thought so on what im watching but said the mistake wasn't clear and obvious

If last weeks was a penalty then so was that one.

Of course, last weeks should never have been a penalty.

  • Scrappy game now with niggly fouls and **** weather

Utd should have converted chances early on

    Suits Bournemouth at the moment

There are no overloads in any area of the pitch. Defenders can keep their positions because it's all so rigid. City through the middle and Liverpool out wide always have an option and it draws players out of position. United just seem to go for a quick ball to an isolated attacker.

9.1 United. Called it here last.

Someone should have been on him from the other side. Don't know if it's all on AWB there.

Lindelof ran off to start a counter attack!

But we "controlled" the whole half. :pac:

Teams in a rut must love seeing us on the fixture list.

The amount of baron runs we've ended for teams.

It is. You can't lad a lad turn you like that in the box. Especially flicking it over his whole head. Should've just stood him up instead of trying to win the ball.

Poor since about 20min mark, normal service resuming :(

We had many poor moments long before 20 minutes

There was some shocking stuff in the first 90 seconds.

Normal service resumed.Ah well it was a nice little run, while it lasted.

Thought it was a comfortable enough first half performance, looked lively in the first 20 minutes

Ruined by giving away a cheap and soft goal

Need to get Rashford on the ball more and maybe as the commentators said get him and Martial playing closer together

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,948 ✭✭✭0gac3yjefb5sv7

I think this will be our first 2.1 victory and only this season

I should have ran a book on how long it would take

King is only 11 months older than Lingaard. Both were in the same underage squads and king performed very well for the reserve team when picked. He wasn't given a chance at the club.

I know which one is rather have kept

Another goal from an individual mistake that would be easy to avoid.

We either need to rule these out or start creating / scoring more.

Going by other first half performances this season that was as comfortable as they have played

It's only comfortable in sections where Bournemouth allow it to be.

Comes up every game a team sits off us.

Pereira has been completely non existent. Looking like Lingard 2.0. Rashford and Martial look bright but they're not scoring if they don't get any service from the midfield

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭clubberlang12

That little phase of play for their goal shows the difference in attacking approach for the most part. We really are just counter attack, get it wide and run at a defence and hope something comes off. We have very little creativity or guile when trying to open up defences. For their goal they were composed in the area and played a couple of easy, but intelligent passes, and positioning was so much better than ours.

McTominay trying to break a record for misplaced passes this game. He has been shockingly bad, I'd say he will end up with the lowest pass completion of any central midfielder this week.

Well when someone flicks it up in the box like that you'd hope someone else would be around or the keeper would be alert. It is endemic of the team that there is nobody pressing the ball when it's somewhat loose in the box.

He's been awful this half plays with a bit of passion in a team lacking any and suddenly he's the next great leader, captain and Roy Keane

    We are comfortably 1-0 down

We just need a few grins out there and we’ll be ahead

I'd have him down as a next Darren Fletcher, and that's no insult. Not the best at anything but effort makes up for lots of things. Decent enough at tackling, and passing most of the time without being brilliant, pops up with the odd goal too and be does give a sh!t which is important. Might not win you a game, but might be why you don't lose some.
