Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whelan needs to get closer to that no 10.

Georgia playing the better stuff. We need to get our act together or we'll fall behind. First goal in this will be crucial.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,322 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Georgia have some decent players on the ball but they seem to have feck all up top...
They are really trying to turn the screw here...we can't get out of our half!

    Collins poor tackle. He’s useless

Best thing Collins has done so far.

Is "no 10" a code word for bench?

    Uninspiring and lathergic. Also sh1t.
    Hendrick is brutal

Bad enough to watch, even worse to listen to with Whelan.

Byrne and Connolly at halftime please

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

We need to start a Go fund me to get someone to burn Whelan's passport. Absolute poison.

At least Whelan is asking for it and moving it along.

Hendrick is daddling on it and Hourihoune is anonymous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,205 ✭✭✭Lucas Hood

Someone should have been on the end of that cross.

Best moment for Robinson in this match. Inviting ball.

    Spot on. Get Byrne on.

One half decent cross and we get a chance.
    Still totally bypassing midfield

I think that is harsh, he actually was really useful against the Swiss...but useless in a match like this...we need to try and create something anything desperately

Good tackle by Collins pity it was on McClean

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,330 ✭✭✭✭namloc1980

We might well be a goal or two down if another one of our midfielders was playing.

    This is a dog fight.

It is for every team that comes here

He's had a few terrible passes for a man who can only pass sideways and backwards, one of which was completely out of play in a dangerous position, and it wasn't even to relieve pressure! Tripe. Get him off for Byrne.

Can't wait for half time, so I can get a 15 minute respite from this rubbish.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,322 ✭✭✭✭gmisk

Has there been a shot on target?
Our possession stats must be poor as well...maybe 40 percent?

Said it before and I’ll say it again, this is no different from what was served up under MON.

McClean is so predictable. Has to go on the outside every single time, even when it’s not on.

Made a nice pass 30 yards through to Hourihoune there a minute ago.

Is there something Hendrick and Hourihoune are doing that forces you to focus on Whelan alone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,938 ✭✭✭✭Kermit.de.frog

    Dire

Is anyone still making an argument for Whelan and McClean to be starting?

  • McClean should be crossing it in there, too much hesitation

His passing in this match has been abysmal even simple passes poor. I am sorry but as I said against the Swiss he was decent...he has been very poor here so far

Can’t help but think getting Jack Byrne in at HT for Hendrick would give us a lot more creativity and more attacking threat

we need some creativity in midfield.... I don't think Whelan has the stamina these days to get around the pitch.... not sure what his purpose is in the team....

If you watched the last year of MON, there is a difference. Problem is Mick was put in for the few games so alls he’s going to do is try get results rather than build a team and system

Whelan took an age to play it back to him
