Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If this is the best the senior squad is capable of against a team like Georgia then Mick might aswell just call up the entire U21 squad and play them instead. Utter muck this senior squad is.

Sexton....your better than this mace ad as well surely?

Apart from the early free that hit the post hourihanes delivery has been awful.

Our best chance is a set piece so get Byrne on even for that

That is really not true he has received the ball pretty regularly.... and lost it pretty much constantly

First touch is ****e. Ball retention is ****e. End product is ****e.

The Georgians are good at home but this is so bad. Rubbish.

I dunno, whilst bad, I think some people still think Ireland should come to Tblisi and win handily eleven though it's never really been the case for anyone.

Aaron Connolly is 19....let's not over hype him

Why is the ball retention non existent? First touch shocking and set pieces so ****e.

Thats nothing to do with Georgia.

The 'Sexton sandwich' one is 1000x worse than that one. Whatever he was paid it wasn't enough.

Are you new to all this?

While I didn't expect us to dominate Georgia there's still better levels in between that extreme we can surely play better in. Not everything has to be 'dominate the opposition' or 'be mostly ****e', there is levels between those that we should be playing. We still might win but criticism is always still valid in an ongoing game.

This Georgia keeper is a flapper!
    Shame we barely tested him

I have not seen the one where he has an inner monologue about what bread to go with...

Long who cant get a game and hasnt scored in 3 years? Yeah exactly what we need.

I don’t give bollox if he hasn’t scored in 19 years if he is fit he would offer more up there than we are getting .

I don't disagree but Collins has barely had any service changing in Connolly won't change that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,834 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Again when we get in and around their box we have zero ability to put in a cross or through ball that can cause difficulty. Jesus seeing us try to attack drives me mad.

Agreed. Connolly for Collins and Byrne for Whelan.

    Collins fouling again

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,385 ✭✭✭Nerdlingr

Everything is so slow, they're taking forever to fkin pass the ball

Mick needs to take Collins off, he’s causing more problems than fixes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,820 ✭✭✭smelly sock

Shane Long would defo offer more than Collins. 100 per cent.

    Whelan......

    Whelan's "touch" there.

Two instances where we fail at controlling simple balls. Nothing up there.

Baffling how long isn't even on the bench?

If were going to go long then leave collins on and get connolly running off him.

So a set piece is our only hope at this stage....their keeper is shonky.
A pity we can barely get into their half...

    This is a hard watch.

I don’t understand how a team like Iceland can play decent football and we can look so poor. I don’t see where a goal is coming from unless the plan was to keep it tight (which they aren’t) until maybe 60th min and then get progressively more attacking. I think that’s prob just a delusional wish then anything

God be with the days we had a smattering of top Premier League players in the team.

I had to use Google four times in that first half.

If we could deliver a quality ball but everything is overhit or under hit

Difference between the 21s performance on Thursday night and this afternoons performance is night and day for a 0-0

It's now just more Randolph hoofing it into their half than a long pass though this half
