Clearing personal loan

Hello I have a personal loan with BoI and it is appearing on my online banking. If I want to clear this loan, is it just a matter of transferring the exact amount from my current account into the loan account? How will I pay for the interest accrued? Do I need to send a letter to the branch etc? Thanks
