My sons friend was over tonight for a movie night. She had an old phone with vidoes of my teen son when he was about 5yrs old on the phone. He was embarrassed but I was delighted to see the vidoes.

My granddaughter can't have dairy or eggs so I now use stork margarine when she is included in the cooking. At least stork is better than other brands and behaves closer to butter in texture.

Miss the lovely buttery pastry and flapjacks. Don't bother with trying fairy cakes using substitutes for egg and butter.

She uses a butter substitute for toast and sandwiches for her too. It always feels wrong but needs must. She is only four but knows to ask before eating anything since she was two.

Tea and toast of the variety that the butter is just seeped into the toast. Salty and tangy and lots of it with a fine cup of tae for company.

You have a way of taking bread to a whole new level :)
Hearing a song you haven't heard in a long time and it instantly takes you back to where you were when you first heard it. No cars go by Arcade Fire came on this morning and transported me back to a cathedral in Cologne where I first heard it. Good times!

I'm not normally someone who would treat themselves all that much but I recently decided to treat myself to a Hot Tools Air Brush. First time using it today and I must say that I am extremely impressed with the results. Lovely sleek, dry hair and it doesn't get as hot as a hair dryer plus it didn't take as long to dry my hair as it's very thick.

I started using an app recently that reminds me five times a day that I'm going to die. I get a push notification every few hours that literally says, "you're going to die. Does this matter?"

It sounds so fcuked up, but it's REALLY helped me with stopping in the middle of a stressful mundane task and asking myself, "hold on, do I need to be THIS worried about this? Does it matter in the long run?" The answer is always "hell no. Give it an hour and then move on".

    Trivially happy about this :pac:
