I forgot to post it then, but yesterday afternoon, for the first time, one of the semi-feral (and frankly neglected) cats for whom I leave food out actually took food from my hands. :) I'm overjoyed by that!

It's the little things isn't it? Now more than ever.

On that note, I've had a long chat with a friend abroad and haven't laughed so much in weeks. Badly needed, much appreciated and I can't wait til I see him and give him a hug again.

    I love "How's the heart?".

Lovely lyrics. Bit of paddy thrash metal happening. Works for me.

I'm feeling blessed to have my garden and greenhouse while on lock down. I'm spending every moment of daylight outside, surrounded by the exquisite sound of birdsong, the buzzing of what seems like 100s of bees and dozens of little insects living in and around the pond.

My sister-in-law and her hubby are working from home stuck in a high rise flat in London and are going stir crazy. So yes, I am blessed. :)

I'm shocked ! Poor auld Panda wouldn't maul anybody....
    :)

If you're going to maul each other, do it outside. We don't want to do another deep clean here.

    But remember to do it:

    Within 2k of home
At a distance of 2m between each other.

The slightly smug feeling I had when I was woken up (at 4.45!) by the bin lorry this morning, because for once I had remembered to put the bin out last night for collection on the Saturday, instead of the normal Monday, due to the bank holiday. I went back to sleep with a self-satisfied smile on my face.

TH to see swallows this morning in the home place!
I can't wait to tell my Dad ... it's like a competition every year between us as to who sees them first.

    Great news.
Been keeping an eye out for them.
At last they've landed in the country.
Come hither swallows; you are badly needed in these trying times .....

    A bow across the sky
    Another in the river,
    Whence swallows upward fly,
    Like arrows from a quiver.

I am more than trivially happy to have taken delivery of a new watch.
And beyond annoyed that I cant wear it out and about.

I've had the same competition with a neighbour since I was around 5 - he's 87 now, and I'll be on the phone to him the minute I see a my first swallow :)

TH because I found an actual paper book in the bookcase that I haven't read before. I've been downloading books to my Kobo but it's not the same, so I'm looking forward to sitting with the comforting weight of a 'real' book in my hands this afternoon.

Got a call at around half 10 asking could I come in to work.
Without asking how long it would take I was told I'd get 3 hours overtime.

Went in, took 50 minutes in total and I'm back home already. Ching Ching. :)

    Now decision time.
Whether to binge on Netflix series called Money Heist or mow the lawns
