This. 4-0 is a harsh score because he threw good darts. MVG just too good.

Needs to slow it down a bit. The best players just don’t throw at that speed. Plenty of great quick throwers but that’s just too much.

Mardle actually made a good point there for once, pace of Ricky's throw is fine when he's throwing at trebles but surely must be difficult to make adjustments when trying to finish around the board eg tops, d10 , d5

Yes and even more pronounced the further he has to move to the extent that it surely affects his accuracy. I like watching Ricky but he’d benefit from slowing it down a tad, can’t see him doing it as it’s his calling card

At this point last year 70 in a day had been reached 3 times, 66 has been the max so far this year, despite the "additional" sets.

I am now hoping to reach the 846 figure to break even, but this is now also looking in major doubt.

Today's line-ups hold the best prospect of getting back on track; however, if there were to be at least 93 today, that would only equal the total of last year, going into the Christmas break.

As it currently stands; with that 180 rate of 1.7517 180's per set played:

If all matches from here end up 3-0 legs and X - 0 Sets we have:
111 sets left; returning a tournament total of 401 Sets and 702 180's.

If all matches from here end up 3-2 legs and go the distance (excluding tie-breaks) we have:
197 sets left; returning a tournament total of 487 Sets and 853 180's.

Mid point of the extremes has us at:
154 sets left; returning a tournament total of 444 Sets and 778 180's.

Sportingindex: middling the market at 857 (Buy 851; Sell 863).

If he could even just slow down on the dart for the double he'd be a much better player for it but as you rightly say he's not far off

the potential 160 out, he hit 2 lightning quick treble 20's but did not adjust for the double top and missed it low by quite some margin . needs a coach or a good training partner to slow him down a tad to adjust

Absolutely he did the same on a double 5 as well gives himself no time to adjust

Not sure if there’s a table out there anywhere but Aspinall is on 13, MvG on 11. Chizzy on 4 with a game in hand. Wright is on 9, also with a game in hand.

Backed Humphries to win it out last night, meant to do it before the tournament started but didn’t get around to it. I think he was a bit overpriced. Hopefully isn’t out in an hours time!
