Wright made hard work of that

    No handshake?

    Don't think so?

Bad form from Price just walking off there at the end without shaking hands. If that was Taylor, he would get slates all round.

Is there beef there? It looked like good banter at the end of the earlier rounds with the celebrations from each.

WD Wrighty, best player by a mile.

    Yup.

Didn't expect Price to be so below par. Wright didn't even have to be spectacular.

Well done to him. Didn't think he had another final in him.

Didn't look like it, don't think it could have happened when they were showing the shot of Wright's family celebrating.

    Bad form

Didn't spot it myself either. Wonder who pulled out or if they both did?

I know it's a small thing but very childish to not at least shake the hand of the winner afterwards.

No acknowledgement at all. Big babies the pair of them.

Price really showed his class leaving the stage straight away. Every other losing player can stay, take their beating and congratulate their opponent, wish them well.

Very Hard to like a guy with so little class.

Wright the better player and deserved to win.

There was two idiotic decisions from him at the end there though. He went for bull twice when there was no need to, effectively wasting a dart at double. He lost one of the legs and should have lost the other.

Price was way below standard though, very disappointing.

    That's the final ruined now!

Not a fan of Price, goodbye, good riddance, well done Peter! Price ended up averaging in the high 80's, nowhere good enough at this level.

You must not be watching it on sky. Because this is the best ever game of darts that has ever been played in the history of darts ever. On the planet. Ever.

    :D

Price just isn't a nice bloke.

Aspinall to beat mvg snakebite to win it out

Wright beat him at the end of the first set

To think that Malicdem had 9 darts from 136 to knock Wright out and didn’t even manage a shot at a double!

  • Registered Users Posts: 36,252 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Wright beat him at the end of the first set

Absolutely spot on. In his head from then on.

Spot on, couldn't believe he did it again in the last leg, massive let off.

Krusty averaged 98 which is great when you consider he missed 38 doubles

Scathing stuff here from Wright I love it

89 average from the King of Lilliput

  • Registered Users Posts: 7,760 ✭✭✭Deeper Blue

    Gotta love Wright’s honesty

No handshake was really not nice to see. A bit of manners is not much to ask for from Price but he just acted the bollocks tonight.

Fair play to Wright for not letting Price's mindgames get to him, I hope he wins on Wednesday night now.

    Wright not happy at all.

  • Registered Users Posts: 28,845 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

Heh. I love when sky commentators struggle to big it up

Imagine if Wright held it together in a final just once...

Don't blame him to be honest. Telling it as it is.
