    better player won, and this was wrights B-game or maybe even c-game.

    Over the longer format a players class starts to show,


    Price has never beaten MVG in 18 attempts, but has taken him to a last leg decider in the lasr 2 games over a decent length, hopefully Price can win this.
    An MVG -Wright final will only see MVG own Wright again, and that would be boring

    Missed the game sounded like a cracker!

    Really hope price can beat MvG just don't see it happening over this format. With Wright winning we know the final isn't worth watching tonight.

    Mardle on commentary is a jinx. Price is slowing down....wins leg to go 11-9 up. Van Gerwen is in trouble around 15 seconds later hits a 180.

    I'm nitpicking but find him absolutely unbearable to listen to, even during a great game.

    Any time MVG loses he comes up with a mountain of excuses.
    He blames missed doubles, the heat, travel, etc.

    He played his A-game and was well and truly beaten by the better player who deserved it in a belter of a game

    Price and Wright both were the deserved winners of their semi finals.
    Makes for a more interesting final tonight.

    Well missed doubles is why he lost. ? MvG is always gracious in defeat I think. Always gives an interview and honest assessment.

    Price is the better player atm, mvgs reputation has won him a few big games latley.

    Price needed that win too, if only to get the monkey off his back.

    If that was any of the 3 stooges of White, Chizzy or Smith in Price's position they would have choked.


    Be interesting to see if that win drained Price for later, as I think Wright wont play that bad again and will improve.

    Definitely, Wright won't play as bad again tonight, I think price will play the same again if not better. Good to see the crowd didn't boo price on crucial shots either

    “He [Gerwyn Price] has been getting closer to me in some games but close isn’t good enough it’s as simple as that," Van Gerwen declared.

    “I’ve got more in the tank for the match with Gerwyn and I’m going to throw everything at him tomorrow.

    “I know of all the players left I have the most talent by a mile, so if I play well and don’t make any mistakes then I will be the champion, simple.”

    How did that work out Michael...was it "simple" ?

    Everything he said was true. He is the most talented out of price , wright, and Durrant. If he didn't make mistakes he would have been Champion but he made mistakes so he's out. Simple. ?

    every player makes mistakes, price made plenty of mistakes but won.
    MVG has no excuses this time
