Google Pay no longer allowing shop payment on my phone?

I have a Huawei P20 Lite.

I have had no problems using my Revolut card as a payment method on Google Pay up until a few days ago when it stopped working (saying it required an update or similar).

I tried re-adding the card and it says "This card cannot be used for purchases in shops"

When I tried running the SafetyNet 'attest' app (which checks phone integrity), it's failing saying

"SafetyNet response... CTS profile match: false ... Basic Integrity: true'


The phone is not rooted, and I haven't installed any hacky apps etc


I've tried clearing cache for Google Play services and Google Store... but no difference?

Maybe after that, try flashing magisk.

Will read that thread in full later, but just in case you might know, does that signify anything?

Maybe factory reset? Odd that something would update to affect this just last week.

That was to see what was on it. Forget it, as you didn't flash anything.

If you have everything backed up and nothing to lose, then yes I would definitely factory reset.

One suggestion was to factory reset and roll back to a previous version of the OS ... feck, I might just hold out until they release a fix update and pay using card in the meantime


I was enjoying paying with my watch and not having to worry about carrying a phone or card!
