Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I haven't been involved in accountancy for some time but through am hoping to change roles where axcointubg qualifications would be relevant to me again.

I did a bachelor of commerce which I completed in 2010 and a masters in accounting in 2012. I believe these normally allow for around 10 exemptions of the 14 ACCA exams but am wondering are these of any use to me anymore in terms of exemptions given the timeframe

You can check what exemptions you're entitled to here https://www.accaglobal.com/ie/en/help/exemptions-calculator.html

As you haven't worked in accountancy or studied recently the professional level exams will be significantly harder to pass. You might be better off not taking the exemptions and starting from scratch!

The maximum number of exemptions is 9 out of 13 ACCA exams.

The exams 5-9 are challenging in their own right and take time and study to pass. These exams also help in choosing what options papers you might want to take at the professional level and which you might avoid.

Per the post above if you have not been involved in Accountancy for sometime the jump to the final 4 professional level exams could very challenging. But best to have a talk with ACCA and or some ACCA course providers and see what they recommend.
