Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gary Neville also makes me sick in the commentary. As bad at doing this job as a manager.

This opens it up for united to go on and get more on the counter. I can’t see what’s happening on account of my thing breaking but I’m sure it’s beautiful

Did Liverpool have a goal disallowed by var??

First half has been absolutely poison to watch as a neutral.

Ahhaha yup and even Jamie carragher saying it's a clear advantage that he achieved from an illegal part of the body controlling the ball.

    But ye. Old Trafford

Should be 0-0. United very fortunate to have that goal allowed.

Neville reckons the scoreline is a fair reflection on the 1st half - slightly biased there!

Liverpool will probably start a campaign to ban Var now

It's the dullest fixture in English football

VAR haunting Liverpool at last.....Dive and handball .....all we are short of is a penalty!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

    Liverpool been poor.
10-2 in free kicks to Man Utd.

Every call going to Man Utd.

I'm a neutral. Just here to say they're making a complete fvckup with VAR.

Not even working for offside cos they're trying to make millimetre decisions.

    Complete and utter fckup.

Henderson an absolute passenger once again.

    Worst Liverpool performance this season.

Don't think Carragher is the official spokesperson on the matter.

Fergie must have been onto Atkinson for old times sake.

Can't remember last time Liverpool were this disappointing. Still had chances to get back into it but their general play has been well below par. Fred and Pereira were poor and yet United have the lead.

Klopp will likely give them a bollocking and I expect they'll be better next half.

Yeah I'm against it completely overall but I can't argue with the decisions today. Both correct and the better team are leading at the break

But Jesus I'd get rid of it in the morning if I could I can't stand it.

Liverpool are a bundle of nerves here.
Thought they were better than that.
Not looking too good going forward if City start closing the gap.
    They could fall apart again.
Maybe they’ll improve in the second half.

Is it Oles five at the back counter attack masterclass?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 15,694 Mod ✭✭✭✭dfx-

An awful game so far. So little for the keepers to do, Liverpool very sheepish, United not really getting anywhere. So many half-blocks and 50/50 balls careering everywhere.

The EPLs dreadful implementation of VAR the only thing to get us a goal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,159 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

Always thought their was no var-iety to Uniteds play.

    Guess I’m wrong.

Cabbage of a ref is the answer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,128 ✭✭✭✭Oranage2

Rashford must be built, put both Matip and Van Dijk on their back sided. Scoreline is a Fair reflection, pool totally bottling it and united players playing football for the first time since psg. As for the foul, origi was half way down, definitely not clear cut and it makes a mockery of the Leicester penalty decision Mane got.

Interesting how unsettled Liverpool are, they’ve been very poor , VAR or no VAR.

I think this is a very important HT for them, how will they react to a very poor and frustrating first half. If they can put it behind them , raise their game and turn it around that will be a massive statement from them. But if they allow their frustrations to get to them and don’t improve or get back into game, big questions will be asked of their mentality.

United game or not, they are playing a team missing their best player who have been very poor all season and have massive pressure on them.

From a united perspective it’s surprisingly refreshing to see united look so up for a game and not shying away from it. Liverpool do look more nervous and I would be very happy with a similar performance second half. We really shouldn’t have a hope on paper.
