    And again. Poor lamb.

    Now that's a tackle.

Jesus...Never a free and game shouldn't have been stopped but that would hurt. VVD is a big big man

Yes, but if you're winded, lying still on your side won't help you.

Give over. He proper smacked his head into him

    James doing a "James"

He took a whack in fairness to him,

Just don't understand why vvd put it out when Young didn't - unless of course young might not have been aware he was still down.

No reason to put the ball out.

Okay, I'll take your word for it.

Now that's when the referee should have blown it up

Although I completely disagree with Matip hitting the ball out of play.

United weren't doing it when they had it.

    Got smashed there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,967 ✭✭✭Liamalone

Didn't James get a tight slap around the head in one of the Wales matches recently?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,732 ✭✭✭CalamariFritti

Very hectic, nothing given, big game atmosphere. So far United are as sharp as I've seen them all season. Could see them getting another one.

James having a tough day in the office.

When the opposition have shown that they’d have no plan on giving it back to you, you’re hardly going to give yourself a throw in to defend by your own corner flag

Trivial I know, but I hate the term shut-out.

Pool looking as bad as I have seen them since Napoli!

They could have booted it out and then pointed at the injury as normally is done. Where did they show they had no plan giving it back?

It's not their job to kick it out

Agreed. Also it’s up to ref to blow it up.

Problem for James will be he goes down easily and is gonna get a name. That was a savage knock though!

Liverpool have been middling for a while.... They've just been getting away with it.

We've not been this bad for a while. A goal could change things hopefully.

Absolutely and it worked against him that favour because I assume the United players thought it was nothing also.

That was a serious hit don't think anyone noticed until the replay

Liverpool in control now. United need something new or they'll be 1-1 soon

There isn't a bigger whinge in the Premier League than Klopp.

I actually think this suits united (sit back had counter) , question might be their nerves the closer they get to actually winning!

Rashford's done well. Pleased for him.

Didn’t see the Liverpool defence as jittery in ages.

Henderson is just terrible. Evey time the ball reaches him it breaks down.

Liverpool players look very flat footed and kind of sluggish. I wonder have nerves and complacency really gotten to them!?

Keita way more likely to make something happen than Lallana.

You can't say that. You'll have the experts telling you how much energy he has and how much ground he covers.

    Neville’s really enjoying this.

Experts along side half the boards Liverpool fans when he has a good game and how much he brings to the team.

De Gea's had little to do today. Firmino's tame shot the only notable moment. Expected he'd be facing wave after wave of attacks.

Has to be a yellow for Young there.

    Madness

Not every foul is a yellow.

Not every foul is a yellow.

Who said every foul is a yellow? That particular foul was a yellow.

    You're dead right.

But when he misses everything and is late and hits his ankle then it should be a yellow.

    Wijnaldum coming off is odd

    Been their best player

I can't get over how poor Liverpool have been once they get into United's half. No creativity at all.
