    Well if neither grip is working it's likely to be something before they split. Check the switch, connection and fuse first. If they've survived ten years, that's good going but it's probably time to replace them with some Oxfords.

    Cheers, yeah they nearly look like they are rusted on at this stage, well old. Anyway is this acceptable DIY or would you leave it to mechanic? Don't want to fry anything either taking them off or putting new ones on?

    Depends on how confident you are in dealing with electrics, wiring up grips is a walk in the park for some and rocket surgery to others.

    They look identical to the R&G heated grips to be honest....

    Disconnect your battery before you start and you will be really unlucky to do any damage.

    It's DIY to trace the wires and look for loose or corroded contacts and you can tighten and/or clean them. Checking and replacing the fuse is also DIY. It depends on how good you are with wiring if you want to risk more than that DIY.

    Oxford heated grips on sale here. I bought a set and fitting was fairly straightforward.
