    Hi there

I have a pension in Ireland but I recently moved abroad for good.

Is it possible to cash this in?

    Thanks
    Susan

it may be possible if you are over 50 and have the employers permission to take early retirement,

or you could potentially transfer it to an overseas scheme if they allow transfers in from Ireland

Personal pensions cannot be transferred to an overseas pension scheme. PRSAs can be transferred to an overseas pension scheme, but tax may be deducted (for some strange reason). Occupational pensions can be transferred to overseas pension schemes. They're is no option to cash in a pension by leaving the country (unless you would have that option without leaving the country).
