A teacher has a 16 hour per week part-time contract. She also subs at least 6 hours per week for absent teachers. Each week she gets paid for her 16 hours plus 6 hours of subbing? If she subs for more than 6 hours, does she get paid for these hours that go over 22 hours per week?
    Thanks for reading.

No she can only be paid for the 22 in total. However, the school may get over that by paying/ putting in the hours on a week where she doesn’t have full 22 hours.

Eg. week 1 23 hours worked (over by an hour)
Week 2 no sub work , only gets 16 ( take the hour from the previous week) so 17 hours total for week 2.

It’s all depending on the school /ETB too. Remember a friend who was knowingly given extra hours on top of the 22 sub hours and not paid for them. Claimed the ETB couldn’t put it through and it was up to the teacher himself to check he wasn’t over limit himself. Be wary and check every payslip.
