Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all. I have had a Toyota Corolla which I just paid VRT on last month, decided to NCT it and am now looking to sell. In order to get the log book I have to first tax it which I don’t want to do as I’m not using the car. I used my name to VRT the car but am wondering can I sell the car using some form and if so does anyone know the name of the form? Thanks in advance.

Tax it for 3 months and you’ll get the cert.
If you VRTd the car this month (assuming you haven’t done a SORD) tax it now otherwise you’ll be paying back tax too.

Only an idiot would buy a car without a logbook but they are out there. You need to tax the car in order to get the logbook issued on a freshly registered car, I don't think there is anyway around that.

so long as you have the VRT paperwork and the document they give you to tax the vehicle you would be able to sell it. WHether anyone would buy it is another matter, but it isn't a problem if you find a buyer.

tbh I'd tax it, it would sell better taxed anyway.

Tax it as otherwise it'll stay in your name until the new owner does it.....which may take a lot of time as I found out.

Work away so, if you’re not in a hurry, wait til Friday, but tax is so cheap nowadays I’d just want to get the cert ASAP slo I could sell.

Tax it and add the cost to the cost of the car.
It will also help the buyer that it's taxed already.
