Hummus recall due to Salmonella - ALDI and LIDL

    Just saw an alert that some brands of hummus sold in aldi and lidl have been recalled due to salmonella contamination:


    The products include:
    • Aldi Deli Brand Reduced Fat Classic Houmous Triple Pack (3x60g). Use by date: 3/11/2019.
    • Aldi Reduced Fat Houmous Selection Triple Pack (3x60g) . Use by dates: 2/11/2019 and 3/11/2019.
    • Aldi Deli brand Basil Houmous topped with Pesto and Parmesan (170g). Use by date: 4/11/2019.
    • Lidl Meadow Fresh brand Red Pepper Houmous (170g). Use by date: 6/11/2019.
    • Lidl Meadow Fresh brand Classic Houmous stacker (3x60g). Use by date: 6/11/2019.

    I'd humus from a different supermarket last week and suffered excruciating cramps.
    At the time I put it down to a 48hr bug, could be just coincidence, but glad I saw your post.
    I went to same supermarket today and shelves were devoid of humus.

    PS - How could humus give you salmonella poisoning
