That’s a shocking read by Keenan

Fardy must be close to a yellow. 3 penalties now. Wouldn’t let go of Butlers neck after giving away the second one either.

Jack Carty playing rugby with a soccer dive and a Gaelic Football pass.

Why do you think that? High tackle and then contact in the air?

I think there was another arm in there.

Oh please, two stonewall penalties. Connacht didn't even need to use the second one.

Agree with the penalties but might not have taken the kick if not advantage

    Questionable high tackle...

It looked like a pretty clear arm around the neck to me.

Two different players with an arm around a green neck.

There was nothing wrong with either penalty. First was round the neck the second was a fairly innocuous contact but contact nonetheless

Should really be a penalty try

Are there injuries in the Connacht front five or are they rested? If this lot go out against Montpellier next week you’d really fear for them

McAllister injured, Roux injured, Thornbury injured, Dillane injured. Maksymiw , Bealham, O'Brien now also injured. We are ****ed at second row.

Ref is challenging for MOTM. He's not missing a thing.

    Game breaker kearney on.

Watching back and well behind live.

Fitzgeralds try just happened. Paused the game.

    What. A. Try.

Connaughton had advantage so it was probably low percentage and its an intercept risk but it was clearly pre meditated and perfectly executed.

    Stand up and applaud moment.

Otherwise Leinster are much, much more physical than connacht which has to be a worry.

Lancaster has turned Tomane into an excellent player. He was a talent at the start of his career. France robbed him of that but he's unreal here, loving his rugby and confident. Brilliant to see both for the person and for Leinster.

Would be great to see Connacht get back into the game from here, 48 minutes and 24 score difference. Game almost certainly over but respectability can still be put on the score.

Blade presenting the ball the wrong side, remember doing that in school and being slagged. :D

Boom James Lowe with another great read to a break away try like last week.

Didn't think Lowe had the wheels to finish that but he proved me wrong.

Same as last week with the intercept try

Sorry Venjur but Tomane Tome will always be a winger playing in the centre
Suspect Defense and average passing skills

Haven't seen much of Byrne in the game, almost passing him by

Very impressive speed. Didn't think he had it either.

Leinster just keep doing tries and at this point it's just impolite

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,816 ✭✭✭LostArt

    Hopefully Connacht can stay up...

    High tackle on Fardy there!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,018 ✭✭✭Bridge93

42 points and a try or two more left out there with those crossing calls on the two disallowed. Good going that

Did one of the commentators just say "plastic Paddy"??

Leinster big players should be worried, they are now fighting for their places.

Liked the little laugh by Kelleher at the end of his interview

Particularly liked “the lads” instead of “the boys”

    Make him Ireland captain now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,462 ✭✭✭✭WoollyRedHat

Brilliant performance, Connacht lacked the same intensity for much of the game, great Leinster performance by the backrow, Tomane had a great game, Kelleher played with a commanding performance and James Lowe, what can you say. Thank god for provincial rugby.

Huh? His range of passing this season has been really good. Hes got a great balance to his game. Hard carrying, short passing game and ability to get width with longer passing game. Hes even showing a bit of a kicking game too. Defensively hes started making some really dominant tackles this season and I noticed today his decision making about committing and drifting has definitely come on.

    Hard carrying most definitely.
And he’s well capable at the short pass pop off and offload.
This is the first Leinster game I saw in full this season. But I’ll eat my hat if he has developed his long passing significantly from last season. Or his ability to pass across the line when put under pressure. Particularly off his left hand.
Saw him make a hames of a tackle - think on Carty - when drifting across to the lhs of the pitch.
    Stick him on the wing

With the dramatics of Carty he probably pulled out of it, just in case Carty thought he was hit with a sniper rifle again
