Christmas dinner in Killarney, where??

Heading to killarney for Xmas, staying in self catering but would like to have dinner out on Xmas day. Anyone have any idea of anywhere that's serving dinner that day please

I've never heard of anywhere in Killarney opening to the public on Christmas day. Only thing I've heard of is hotels that have it for residents only. I'd try ringing a few of the more "high end" hotels and see if they're taking bookings.

Only hotel guests will get food on Christmas day- the Brehon etc. who charge a large premium for that. M and S pre-prepared food might be worth considering- you need to order the food well ahead, however.

Spent christmas at the Brehon twice in the last 12 years and the actual christmas lunch was full of non residents. Might have changed more recently though.

This question was asked on Deirdre Walsh's show on Radio Kerry last week and there didn't seem to be any information available on hotels/restaurants in Kerry serving lunch on Christmas Day.
