Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

2nd hand car advice

    Hi all,

    I am looking to buy a 2nd hand car but I have been burnt by normal garages in the past so don't really want to buy from them in the past so I was looking more at the main dealers.

    I have 5-7 grand and I want 2012+ So i can warranty it myself after the dealer one runs out.

    I want a car that is cheap to run but is not a piece of crap, I mean I want a Golf GTI Mark 6 but that's dreaming.

    I was looking at 3 cars

    Clio 2014 7k - Looks kinda fun inside and out and I like the NAV touch screen.

    Toyota Auris 2012 7k - Super reliable i'm guessing as its boring as all hell.

    Nissan Qashqai 2012 - 7k - Its what the wife wants, I don't mind it

    Can anyone else think of any other cars out there that would fit these requirements?

    Where are these 2012 Toyota Auris and Nissan Qashqai selling for 7k from main dealers?

    Yeah. I would just see what private sellers are asking v a dealer. Maybe post a few links up here and posters can give their 2 cents... is it petrol or diesel you are after ?

    It would be petrol as people keep telling me diesels are for long distance only.

    Whats the point buying from a dealer if you don't get a good warranty? Maybe all the years of buying 2-3k cars and them blowing up on me has scared me a bit lol :D

    Our local seat dealer sells cars for 2 and 3 grand which i always found strange and they aren't round the back either
