anyone having issues with iPlayer recently? keep getting content not available on the tv, and looks like you're in another country on computer when using the VPN

I had this issue for weeks and it suddenly just fixed itself a month ago. At the time I tried iPlayer on Firestick, tablet, laptop - it was the same for all devices.

I've just tested it again and it's working fine on 93.89.247.142 IP address.

BBC iPlayer is notorious for this on many VPNS.

Works for me. Are you picking the Netflix server? Right at the very bottom?

Yeah, connects. Then I leave it, open Netflix and the normal one opens.

Tried windscribe, I have on trial, and that works

Odd, it defiantly works on our Sony android TV. We were using it earlier this evening.

It just allows you to watch other versions of Netflix like US etc. It doesn't allow you to watch Netflix for free.

You run it constantly with iptv? Not see a massive lag in loading etc

Zilch lag. Pretty much same as Nordvpn. just compared them now using a UK server. Super Sunday pm and working great.

Hey, sorry for lots of questions but...

Can somebody please explain what should I look for in a good VPN?

I've heard of NordVPN and ExpressVPN. Never heard of KeepSolid VPN. How does it differ?

Can you setup these VPN services on your Windows PC and Android without having to download their apps?

Also is that £12 lifetime deal monthly or you pay once and you don't have to pay for it anymore?

Thinking of replacing my current Zenware VPN. Does the BBC iPlayer and the ITV Player work well with the Keep Solid VPN?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,813 ✭✭✭SteM

I just checked them both and they both work fine.

Installed KeepSolid. Tried BBC iPlayer and it worked, then tried ITV Hub but got
“We’re sorry something went wrong, please try again later”
    Anyone else have this problem?

Folks Is it possible to have it default to a certain location depending on the app your using. Ie. Usa vpn for netflix. Uk for I player ect. As opposed to changing manually each time you go between apps

ITV hub refused to work for me on android. It was fine. I'm now getting a need to update message but can't. Bbc is working.

I have itv hub running at the moment on my phone with no issues. Just checked an old show, Quiz, and live TV and they both worked.

Could you check what version of the app you have? I'll need to find a new one. Thanks

I player, Ch4 and ITV hub all loading for me using the generic iplayer option at the bottom where you select the vpn server.
