Where are people watching all this coverage of NI?? It may as well not exist on BBC1, ITV and Channel 4.

This may be an explanation from Professor Sir John Curtice

    https://www.bbc.com/news/live/election-2019-50689115
There are early signs that perhaps some Labour voters may simply have stayed at home.

The fall in the turnout is three points on average in seats where more than 55% voted Labour in 2017, while it is only down by a point in those where less than 35% did so.

Labour hold Hartlepool with majority of 3595. Vote down 14.8%.

    Now that is a surprise.

BXP split the CON vote. They had around 21000 together,

I was watching it on Free Sat but I moved over to BBC Scotland on Free view - I'm enjoying watching the SNP win every seat so far... and waiting to watch Swinson fall.

Revised exit poll forecasts are ticking down the Tory majority a little. Majority looks like being 70-80

Back in the bad old days RTE news always began with stories like

On the news tonight , A cure for cancer, Aliens have landed, But first
    Today in Northern Ireland....

and launch into something depressing like you'd see on Pop Goes Northern Ireland (like Reeling In The Years without any happy stories )

It is part of Ireland (despite what a lot of RoI residents think), nothing wrong with concentrating on it.

What time is Swinson's vote expected?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,085 ✭✭✭✭BonnieSituation

    Chingford and Woodford Green

    CON (IDS): 23481
    LIB DEM: 2272
    LAB: 22419

LIB DEMS should be crucified for standing there.

Be careful throwing that around. It's very much Ireland.

Of course, but I have often read on Boards comments from many people who say they never want a UI and have zero interest in anything that happens in NI.

What surprises me tonight is there's so few looper parties involved, have these been excluded or what? In Ireland you would have canditates with either mental health issues or wanting to be in an election for the craic and would get a grand total of circa 10 votes.

And let them at it. Contrarianism is a contagious thing.
