Missed that was it on the Beeb?

No. George Osbourne is on ITV along with Ed Balls.

It's a Labour hold for Ed Miliband in Doncaster North.

And Naomi slashes Gavin’s majority to 1,819 in East.

With predictions suggesting a big win for Claire Hanna the DUP have come within 1900 votes of losing all three of its Belfast seats.

Why is Ed Milliband still standing ...you'd think he would want to try and lead some international organisation on peace or climate or such

Afterall he was so ambitious that he shafted his brother and now he is happy to be a bank bencher forever ?

BBC projecting a Con majority of 64, down from 86 at the start of the night.

The state of your man from Esher & Walton. He is called Baron Badger. :D

He's in the same as constituency as the Conservative Hold Dominic Rabb.

LAB running in Esher and Walton gave Raab the seat.

One of the things i like least about the Tory party was how awful people like Pattel, Rab and others are
    They seriously lack brain power

maye a few good people will be elected for the cabinet

Corbyn's vote to get the seat is down slightly since the 2017 GE.

He had won the seat with about 40k votes back then. He got elected tonight with 34,603.

Will Corbyn stop waffling and get to the massive elephant in the room- the worst Labour result since 1935.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,506 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Sammy Wilson won in Antrim East.

Corbyn is right about the media ...shameful towards him

He is a very good man ...just like Michael Foot was a very good man

But being a very good man is no competition for the right wing media and Dominic Cummings

He could still stay as caretaker for 5 years because he won't be leading them in the next election.

But if he'd stood down earlier would it have been enough ?

A year too late. The Labour Party was unelectable under him but a cult surrounded him

I remember 2017 her all over Jeremy at the count, different now. Her & Starmer seem to be the frontrunners. Not great tbh:confused:

His speech was dire. Waffle waffle waffle, then says he won't lead the party into the next election, then "poor me".

Labour Party needs to think very carefully about where it goes from here, as Jess Phillips said tonight.

George Osborne going to town on DUP with their spectacular own goal
and not understanding why they didn't vote on Teresa May deal as much better than what they will end up with

Shows how bad the Foster/Dodds leadership of the DUP has been. They have literally got everything wrong re them choosing Brexit and a ‘relationship‘ with the Tories rather than taking note of the NI 2016 ref vote. Far cry from those triumphant chants of ‘Boris Boris’ when he paid them a visit.....

One of the few upsides to this election. He was always a massive liability.

Note however he says that he will not be leaving just yet, simply he won't lead them into another election, he will still be leader for the 'consultation process' (whatever that is).

I'm also delighted to see Nigel Dodds gone, the SNP up so much and actually, a majority Tory Government might not be such a bad idea, first and foremost the DUP is no longer a millstone around the UK Government's neck, given their performance over the past two years, it cannot be overestimated just how positive that is for Ireland.

Also with a majority Government there will no longer be the faffing around with agreements between the UK and EU, things can actually get done. The EU will steamroll the UK, as they have done up to now, but we no longer need to care once the withdrawal agreement is passed. Ireland can gain an awful lot of jobs from the UK because they won't be in the single market, the UK is a third country pretty soon and we must make the most of the advantages that will bring to offset the obvious disadvantages for our rural communities who export food and other products to the UK (but unlike the UK, we still have a single market with over 440 million people to export our food to tariff and check free).
