They needn't have worried he would be too busy getting the NHS to fund homeopathy treatment and getting 'women only carriages' on trains.

I am NOT making the above up.

He had his finger on the pulse so he did.

Homeopathy is only for people with private health insurance.

There have been a couple of attempts to build a right wing/nationalist/conservative movement (Libertas comes to mind). Each and every time it's failed because they have failed to get media backing. Social media isn't enough.

I'm not talking about that unhinged woman. I'm talking about Kevin Myers.

    Crazy outcome.

I think it's a clear result, pro brexit damning majority for England and Wales, clear mandate for nationalism/independence referenda in Scotland and NI

The only real right wing journalist was silenced by the outrage mob.

    Agreed. I miss him.

Depressing to think that he's been exiled while cabbages like O'Fool and Mullally retain their media platforms for communicating unfiltered crap.

That said, I found his whining interview in last Saturday's Indo a bit cringeworthy.

    Didn't read it. Maybe I won't!

I've said it a few times before, but by far the Tories biggest asset has been Jeremy Corbyn. I genuinely don't understand why they stuck by him, what drew people towards him.

    They didn't KNOW him.

He has no principles. He goes with the tide of what is popular among the fringes because that has been his bread and butter all of his life.

I at sometimes realized he had no real interest in making life better for ordinary people the ones in his own country he was supposed to represent.

I'm devastated Dennis Skinner is gone though. He was a real socialist.

Wales is LAB 22, CON 14, and PC 4. I don't see how that can be interpreted as pro-Brexit. Yet again, England are the only country to vote for Brexit. Boris has his mandate and will plough on (as he should).

Scotland has a clear mandate for an independence referendum.

The DUP won 8 of the 18 seats in NI, I don't see that as a clear mandate for a border poll or unification referendum there.

It wasn't the Twitter mob that ended Myer's career, other journos turned on him.

SF or the DUP....its like evil ...and evil...although i think some dup voters went alliance.

It was funny to see Ian Paisley bible thumping and singing hymns right before he ate the head off a BBC journalist for asking about corruption charges. From Angel to Beast in seconds.

DUP back in their box anyhow is the best news

If you can't make gains with the open goal that has been the Tory Party over the past few years, then something is radically wrong.

He lacks completely in charisma, he didn't provide an effective opposition, his policies were muddled at best, his stubbornness. He's in no way suited to front bench politics, he's a student union politician that never grew up.

I think the late Clive James summed him up perfectly..."I admire the way his principles are uninhibited by reason."

You have left out that there has been an unrelenting and vicious media campaign against him for years

There are unrelenting and vicious media campaigns about EVERY politician there has ever been.

Boris got exactly the same treatment.

    And they both deserve it.

Corbyn has been treated no better no worse.

Are the SNP likely to go for an unofficial indy ref 2 if johnson refuses permission for an official one? ie something akin to what happened in catalonia?

They don't know what they want and what they have promised they can't deliver.

They keep saying scotland could stay in the EU which the EU has refused. And they say scotland could leave the union and be in the EU..which would leave them with EXACTLY the same issues we are having with NI. And they keep saying they wouldn't have to accept the euro on joining as a separate nation again untrue. They haven't explained how leaving the union might leave them in a diff customs union from the rest of the uk many businesses suffering.

They are not in any way dealing with reality. Nor are they being honest with people ...its just trying to rally up their vote.

Even in England the Tories were voted for by less than 50% of the population. Even adding in the Brexit Party votes it's still less than 50%.

The result might be a massive Tory majority, but they (and the idea of Brexit) are not supported by the majority of the population.

What will Brexit look like now? Further negotiation with the EU or just a hard Brexit?

Everything you are listing is from the last referendum debates.

They are not going to be quoting the same this time around.

Could Johnston now seek to get rid of the Common Travel Area?

"Worse than Michael Foot". What a footnote for Corbyns career.
