Worth watching, why Labour imploded and will continue to decline, along with social democracy in general.

Bottom line: It's all about values not economics.

So rising inequality, increasing worker insecurities, increasing precarious nature of employment etc etc, are not due to economics, and failed economic policies/ideologies?

So watch it, rather than jerking your knee and proving Goodwins point about why the left can't course correct. :)

The political left are a mess, and have played a critical role in our current situation, they're largely ignoring this role they have played, even though I have to hand it to Gordon Brown for admitting this recently

I ll try watch it later, it's a long one, thank you

Whilst the interviewee has some decent points, the interviewers are so clearly biased. "Woke comedians"?. The continued calling of Labour as the Liberal Left.

It comes across as very much a "we won, you guys are losers and everything we say is therefore right" type of video.

What it does do, however, it clearly highlight some of the key areas that Labour failed. His description of the meetings to discuss his book with both Labour and Tory was very revealing, that Tory were focused on getting something that would win whilst it appeared Labour simply felt they were right and people would simply come round to it.

Even if you do believe you are right, and the interviewee makes this point a number of times, it is necessary to have the tools to get that message across and Labour failed miserably to get this.

i dont need to waste an hour of my life to listen to a bunch of so-called 'experts' tell me what anyone with an ounce of common sense already knows, and has known long before the election results were counted.

Lab are a mess. their message especially on Brexit is/was totally befuddled & confused. they were "led" by an economic illiterate, and a complete incompetent, whose past associations with child murderers & terrorists were hardly going to endear him to the UK electorate. many view him at best as non-patriotic, at worst as a traitor.
their party has been infected by a rump of Marxist types whose only aim is to destroy the UK economy and destroy what people have worked hard over their lives to achieve.

apart from the above, they were probably quids in to form the next Govt.
