Appreciate any advice here, below is my current spec based on purchase in 2014. System struggling with BFV, so does it make sense to upgrade graphic card and/or ram .... or start fresh with a new system?

    Operating System
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit
    CPU
    Intel Core i7 4770K @ 3.50GHz
    Haswell 22nm Technology
    RAM
    16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)
    Motherboard
    ASRock Z87 Pro3 (CPUSocket)
    Graphics
    PLE2407HDS (1920x1080@59Hz)
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 290 Series (ASUStek Computer Inc)
    Storage
232GB Samsung SSD 840 EVO 250GB (SATA (SSD))
    1863GB Seagate ST2000DM001-1CH164 (SATA )

    Thanks

    Yes, upgrade graphics card.

For Battlefield, AMD > Nvidia. The €330 RX 5700 outperforms the €500 RTX 2070 Super in this title!

You're also correct on RAM speed - the engine benefits from fast, low-CAS (latency) RAM.

When you say struggling what do you mean, at ultra settings? 4770k definitely still ok for the game and as long as ram is dual channel than so is ddr3. I would imagine an r9 290 would still run at medium-high settings 60fps handily enough. something like a 1660 super for £199 is a big upgrade.
