    Hi,
I've a pair of Tannoy Mercury M2s that I bought in the Dublin Richer store over 20 years ago. Love 'em, but think they're getting ready to give up the ghost.

What would be a nice replacement? Similar size etc.

    Hi The Corpo,

    Thanks for the post!

Thos Tannoys were amazing speakers, I think they were rated by What Hifi as one of the Top 30 they'd ever reviewed! If you're looking for a good replacement set I would recommend the Fyne Audio F500 at £599.

Fyne were actually created by Tannoys old design team who started up their own speaker company in Glasgow. They sound amazing, very forward vocals, great clarity and plenty of punch and well controlled bass:

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

Those are some intense looking speakers! £599 is a reasonable budget for when the kids have left the home ;)

How about the Monitor Audio Bronze 2? Those and the Elac Debut B6.2's, seem similar in price and performance, where would you sway?

    Hey The Corpo.

For me the Bronze 2 would be the ones to go for.
Currently priced at £249 in the Black Finish or £279 for Walnut or white.

I could offer free shipping on these also.

    Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi Corpo.

Pretty much all of our Black Friday pricing is now live on our websites.

We had to go early with them due to Currys releasing theirs early.

We are also still offering our Black Friday price promise where if the price should drop further between now and Black Friday you can get in contact with us and we will refund any difference due.
