Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Would be possible to allocate a point for each round in which your nominations progressed to give a cumulative score for all your nominations.

Thus would determine who was the best judge of the best one hit wonders.

Would need to know where each one exited from official source of course...

    My five were:

Men Without Hats - The Safety Dance
    Olive - You're Not Alone
    Meredith Brooks - Bitch
    Len - Steal My Sunshine
Truth Hurts - Addictive (this one was admittedly a bit of a leftfield choice; was trying to think of something I like that I thought nobody else would submit, unaware of how many "obvious" ones weren't as obvious as I thought! :o )

Edit: Oh and I gave Save Tonight as my first "backup" choice, in case any of the other five didn't fulfil the criteria. I missed the announcement about the sixth choice though so I didn't officially submit it as such....but I may as well claim it as my sixth choice now anyway, considering how well it did! :p

I score 10 points. But as I only submitted 5 songs where others submitted 6, maybe a better indication would be the average, which is 2 for me.

    My submissions.

    Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah - Round 1
    Jennifer Paige - Crush - Round 1
Chesney Hawkes - The one and only - Round 1
    Dario G - Sunchyme - Round 2
Mr President - Coco Jamboo - Round 2

    Total 7 / Average 1.4 (:(:eek::(:eek:)

Even worse, I thought I had nominated Charles and Eddy as I had forgotten my actual entrants.

    5 points for Safety Dance,
    2 for Steal My Sunshine,
1 each for Addictive, Bitch and You're Not Alone.

10 points in total, average score of 2 points per song.

But if I include Save Tonight as my sixth choice (which it effectively was, just not officially) I get a more impressive 16 points and average score of 2.67 per song. ^_^

I think my total was 20.

    Average 3.33.

I suppose it's a bit insulting to describe Blue Oyster Cult as a OHW but they fit the criteria set down.

Can't believe nobody nominated Your Woman by White Town or Lemon Tree by Fool's Garden! Two great songs.

    Good songs, both of them.

The one I regret not nominating was Tasmin Archer's Sleeping Satellite.
Her album is one of my favourite of all times!
