Hardluck, Had you done much training beforehand?
I've never done a beep test but I'm not in terrible shape... at the same time it's the one bit that I'm sort of worried about.

Yeah I’ve been training flat out it’s the only part I just couldn’t pass. Think more mental than anything. Make sure you give yourself a mock test before you head down.

Sorry to be asking again but once someone reaches 8.8 for the beep test for example, or any other requirement, does the test stop or does it continue to try find a higher score?

In the beep test the instructor stopped me once I reached my level

After level 6 they call out each level and once you hear your target number you stop

Hey there.. I’ve a similar oom as you and sent my form B back but haven’t heard anything since. Just wondering if you’ve reviewed your gp form or date for the fitness yet?

Not yet mate, they asked me to fix a few things in my form b but after that nothing so far. What about you?

Hey folks, just wondering how long it takes between returning the GP clearance form to getting the date for the PCT?

I had my fitness yesterday and they wanted me to do medical tomorrow if I passed. That made me think they were struggling to fill it tbh

If you fail part or your fitness do you ring HR to arrange a retest or do they contact you?

Jesus it must be the vetting that’s holding them back from filling it. Hopefully I’ll get a call soon would love to make the January one

They actually rang me yesterday just reconfirming something on the form B. Asked him any idea how long I’d be waiting for the fitness and said could be a month or couple of months.. couldn’t give me a guideline really.

Hi just wondering what OOM you were after the interview? I've everything done since before Christmas but still waiting on an offer. Hopefully it will come soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15 MrDave21

HR gave me two weeks notice for my PCT resit. Bit crappy considering its so soon after Christmas and they stressed that I'd be waiting the 12 weeks for the resit. I've been nursing an injury over Christmas so I haven't even been out training.
I emailed HR asking to postpone the resit until early March, which is when the 12 weeks would have originally ended, and I was told no I either take the 21st January or I'll be withdrawn from consideration.
Would it be worth sending a doctors note or would that disqualify me also?

Anyone have a number I can ring to check the status of my vetting? I have my PCT on Tuesday 14th.

Very harsh that, I'm in for retest on the 21st too, just gonna have to throw the kitchen sink at it on the day!

Hi all. New to the thread. Had the medical this morning and passed. Doubt I'll get an offer for January at this stage but I presume March would likely be the next intake realistically?

That’s abit much surely a doctor note or injury you would be able to defer it.
    What are you repeating?

Congratulations - had my medical yesterday too but no call as of yet which makes me think January is off the table. You have a notice period to negotiate with work? What was our last oom?
