Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

My son in Clare has gigabit FTTH, but the quality of the TV service is dire, with regular dropouts and other issues, so he's looking to move to an alternate service provider, as he's nearly out of contract.

His present speed is gigabit, but when talking to SKY, who are desperate to get him back again, they are telling him that Eir won't give them more than 150Mb speed, which seems at best questionable, and at worst inappropriate practice.

Are Eir allowed to limit the speed of the service to other service providers, or is there something else going on here?

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

There is no limit on the speeds offered by open eir to any retail operator. I suggest your son finds a more competent ISP. Sky's prices are horrific after 12 months so he'd likely be moving again then anyway. Most of these providers should be able to offer service.
