Cost of planning permission through agent

Hi,
We require planning permission for put attic conversion to raise gable end of house. We also are doing 15sqm kitchen extension.
The engineer that did drawings has said he provides planning application service for 3k including proper drawings etc.
We are in South Dublin Co Co. Is this extortionate or realistic?
We don't have the time to be dealing with the paperwork and we haven't a clue etc so need someone to do it for us.

What does the €3k cover?
When you say the engineer that did the drawings.....what drawings?
Is the planning app separate to these drawings?

When you say proper drawings etc.... the etc can mean a lot so you need to expand?
Does it include application fees like OS maps, council fee, newspaper etc?

Hi,
It's a complete planning application service including complete Arch tech drawings of attic and extension,
It includes all fees and maps. We wouldn't need to pay anything else until planning is granted and we start the project.

Ok. That’s a good price then.
Did he give an idea of costs for construction design, inspection and certification so you know what the total outlay will be?

Yeah we have just gone through approx quotes and if I accept this he will come around to do full site survey etc to go through rests of costs
