Coping with friend's suicide

    Hi all,

I'm not looking for advice, I guess, just someone to talk to.

I've always struggled with my mental health.

In April, a friend of mine killed herself. Nobody was expecting it, she was the last person you'd expect to do it.

Since then, my mental health has been deteriorating and in particular I've been having very regular suicidal thoughts. In the past, these used to come to me in intense bouts, but since she died it's like a subtle feeling that's always with me. I no longer feel afraid of it, it feels kind of peaceful.

My fear of it is what's kept me alive in the past.

I'd just like to say that I'm not actively suicidal, just constantly compressed by thoughts of it which is new to me.

Would you contact the likes of Aware or Pieta House? They have helped members of my family deal with loss from suicide.
