I always or nearly always signal; not trusting someone to not do something is not the same as assuming they won't. And it's hard to excuse failing to do something sensible simply because others may not be sensible.

I agree. I've a six yr old that's more road and bicycle competent than many of the people I see out and about on a bike in Dublin. Not that I'd let him out on his own.
