    Hi,
So willing to buy a logitech harmony but would like to know the up and downsides. Here is what I want at a minimum:

    1. one button to power on the TV AND the UPC/Virgin box
    2. One button to switch the TV into say HDMI input 4, and turn on my video game console
    3. Be able to fiddle with TV speaker volume and if needs be volume from media box
    4. Never have to see the UPC/Virgin controller or TV controller except for rare instants.
    5. So easy a parent could use it.
TV is a Sony AG8, media box is bog standard UPC branded one, own a PS4 and Nintendo switch.

Are the above doable- hassle wise how bad? Does the harmony remote have a screen with used favorite TV channels?

All the above are doable, with maybe the exception of powering the game console which depends on which one you will have.

    I have one.

Press power on for nVidia box + TV to come on together, lights dim as TV comes on. Lights go up when TV is turned off.

Controller also has four buttons that I have set individually for various tasks.

Best thing is, I don't see any boxes or cables... Very clean...
