Hi I ordered this tv during the week for a friend from yourselves and we set it up yesterday and all is fine except he has a soundbar and subwoofer that was connected to his old lg via rca to 3.5mm but doesn't fit the new tv.
Is there a different cable we need to connect to this new lg or will it be a case of a new soundbar.
The soundbar and sub is 4ife which I can't find any details on so presume it's not a great make. It has bluetooth, usb and rca to 3.5mm options.

    Hi irelandspurs,

Does your soundbar have an optical input on it? If so it will connect via an optical cable. If not you may need a new soundbar or even a DAC as the TV will not have a headphone or analogue output.

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards

    David

    Hi irelandspurs,

A DAC will convert a digital optical signal to analogue. It means you can still use the soundbar you just need a small box in between to convert the signal so they are compatible.

    Kind regards
