Today's comments start with a philosophical life stance we could all learn from...
    What would Builebeag do??
There is nothing very Ho Ho Ho about this competition.

Just like Santa, I will need a long rest in solitude to recover.
Late risers!? Feck off, it’s Saturday and I’m working next week.
The first morning of my xmas hols and I wake up to this ****. Wikipedia was fun looking through some of the randomers who've played Santa, Brian Blessed being one named, he'd scare the absolute **** out of any child.
Old films , new films , this one will be interesting to say the least !
Ok so I think this will split between Tim Allen and Attenborough. Good chance lots won't remember his first name though and call him David :pac:
Outside chance of Billy Bob too even though he's a fake and sh1t Santa.
    Richard Attenborough. :)

I hope that's right now, and I haven't named the nature guy that narrates penguins and stuff. :/
I feel it will be Richard Attenborough or Billy Bob Thornton but I'm going with Richard because I hate bad santa.
It’s Saturday and I thought I’d get a lie in but oh no.

Billy Bob Thornton reflects my mood right now
I wanted to go for Billy Bob Thornton but he's a very bad santa
Who would choose anyone other than Tim Allen, well probably those that chose Richard Attenborough but Im sticking with Tim Allen
Ps. Will be nice to get another trophy in the cabnet, I think we will do it, could go to penalties.

Tim Allen popped into my head first. Didn’t like being first anyway. It’s not good for my anxiety.

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 27,661 Mod ✭✭✭✭Posy

I bloody knew it would be Tim Allen!!

I don't even like fcuking Miracle on 34th Street, it's a rubbish film. What was I thinking!? Aargh.

Edit: LOL at Will Ferrell though. :pac:

Tim Allen wasn't even Santa!!!! He killed Santa and had to do his job for him.

Yeah, yeah, no wrong answers in fcuking sheep :(

Nah he was just a dumb dad.

Oh, and I've not seen the film.

And oh, don't let the facts of the movie get in the way of a good rant!

But Santa is an idea or a role and not an individual so he DID become Santa. Kind of like the Three Eyed Raven...whatever the **** that was.

You should try dropping all the way down to the middle like I did earlier in the week - did wonders for my anxiety. Very little pressure in 13th place... ;)

I second this approach. Except I dropped further down the list :P

Will the early deadline be a regular thing from now on EN? Or was it just a one-off?

I've worked my way up the table and I've got my eyes on third place. I don't want to miss a deadline after all the hard work!

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 27,661 Mod ✭✭✭✭Posy

Just a once off I think. Something to do with a sportsball event?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,199 ✭✭✭kitten_k

Woohoo. Good timing on that question EN as Santa Clause 2 is on tv tonight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,663 ✭✭✭Mollyb60

Jesus you people!! Attenborough is the CLASSIC santa! Tim Allen is just a blow in.

I thought of Allen later but I was too busy today to get back and change my answer. I think its fair to say I'm not gonna win this thing anyway so it doesn't matter too much. Although I am a little annoyed to have been left for dust by Siobh. Ah well, at least her beef will be with quickbeam now! :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 71,799 ✭✭✭✭Ted_YNWA

I thought of Allen first, then was swayed by Attenborough.

Considered the age profile, and went with Allen

...which does mean tomorrow's question might me late. I'll try though!
