    Love it:D

Was thinking my best bet might be Robinson or McAleese, but went with Mary Black thinking it might be the safest bet to sheep rather than splitting between the two presidents.

Didn't even think of Poppins though, that's a great one. Damn it! This one was hard.

I went with Mary J Blige

I've listened to a lot of Mary J Blige today :)

Cathmandooo also mentioned this classic, which really should have been included in Kolido's One Hit Wonder comp...

A selection of the mental breakdowns and personal abuse I received :p
    So many Marys!
    There are no famous Mary's!!!!
Jaysus this is a hard one. There’s more Mary’s than grains of sand.
Ye see this is just ****ing with us now....I bet you make your parents very proud lol
You make the Grinch look like a Christmas lover. Mary Black is the first name Google gives me , going by the Deja-rule I should go for Mary White (who is a actually a neighbour of mine!! - don't think she is boards famous though)
Eh, f**k, not a clue what to do here... the first few that sprung to mind were Mary Black, Mary Robinson, Mary McAleese, Mary Berry, and Mary Lou McDonald... Probably missing someone completely obvious
Obviously Mary Robinson is the only answer here right? What other Mary's are there apart from McAleese? But she's the lesser former Irish president named Mary. Like seriously? Mary Brady? Is that even a person? Ohhhhhhhhhhh I googled. There's lots of Mary's. Jasus. This is a tough question. I am a terrible Mary. But sure lookit. Phil Collins shares a birthday with me and that's all that matters.
I was going to say Mary, Queen of Scots, but then I Googled who your one was who complained to the BBC in the 80s (Mary Whitehouse), and it turned up Mary Berry as a related search, and now I don't know which to pick...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,579 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Or your second, Mary Whitehouse :p

Booboo, your tactic doesnt work, I was going mary robinson first

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,517 ✭✭✭✭Tauriel

I was thinking of Mary J Blige, Mary Read (infamous pirate) and Mary McCormack.

I'm ashamed to say I completely forgot about the 3 Mary's from Irish politics.

Mary from that Gas Networks Ireland ad with Daniel O'Donnell did cross my mind :D

Wohoo , that was much better than I thought !
I honestly thought no one else would have picked Mary Black .

Although Mary Poppins was a brilliant choice (raging I never thought of it tbh !)

Ok so I didn't score too badly but I am utterly ashamed for not thinking of Mary Robinson, whom I really admire. Her name didn't even enter my head. :o

I almost went with Mary J Blige but was hoping more people would keep up the Biblical theme.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,883 ✭✭✭tusk

OK folks, all the answers are in!

Well this was more controversial than I thought it would be :p

A few answers given. One of these sheeped, one aced. Who did you go for?

    Photo-2019-12-10-01-40-10-PM.jpg

I will do the reveal at 5pm

No changes now, so feel free to run with Strawbs suggestion :)

I guess the reveal has taken place, but until I saw this post I hadn't thought of another Mary. This could be badd......

Ok that wasn't too bad. After the whole Jesus, Mary and Joseph Yesterday, I was sure magdelen would be top of people's minds.

I'm glad I didn't try to think it through though.

Wasn't at all sure about this one. Robinson, Black and Poppins were my top 3 picks but it was really hard to guess at what might sheep

    Mary Berry :eek::eek::eek:

Oh god how did I not think of Mary Berry :o

I did, now to scroll to the reveal and see what happened

5 points, I'm happy could have been going for Bloody Mary or Mary Mary quite contrary :)

I think we have started a tradition now to abuse a sheep game mod.

    Lol !!

I meant when I picked her I thought ok , she's well known , then I read the thread and saw posts with The Four/Five Marys and thought oh no , no one else will have picked her !

If any of that makes sense , if not , I just suck at sheep :pac:

Ok, I'll take the 5 points although my first instinct was Mary Black. I was thinking more global fame than just national fame so discounted the 2 presidents. Will go back to first instincts tomorrow for the much easier question to come.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 42,211 ✭✭✭✭Scorpion Sting

The two Presidents didn’t even enter my head for this. Also it’s the first time I haven’t sheeped so far.

It's the uncertainty that gets you...

I'm just glad people started throwing out names of Mary's late in the day yesterday or I definitely would have flipped.
