    Hi all,

I am a bit confused about the switch and lite. We have a switch but youngest wants the lite.

Will we need double the games for them to play against each other?

How does pokemon sword work on multi player.

Used to be clued into this stuff.

    Thanks

The only difference between the two (without getting into specc) is the Switch lite can only be played in handheld form, but they both can play the same games.

But yeah if they/you wanted to play a specific game against one another and each use your own switch, you would need a game each. But living in the same house, they/you should just use the Standard switch on the big TV and use split screen for the likes of Mario kart or whatever..

Now if you already have a game library, your spawn can play those games on his lite, provided they are the retail cartridges and not digital.

If its digital, you would have to login to your account on their switch, pretty certain that can be done, but they may want their own account.

Many thanks for that reply. Is Pokemon Sword multi player on a standard switch?

No, it's a single player game. You can do battles online, but you will need a Nintendo Online pass. You can get a family pass for up to 6 switches for 35 a year, which also gives you NES and SNES games, as well as Tetris: Battle Royale, and some other DLC for Smash.
